Adventures of Alan

Adventures of Alan was my very first comic! I had designed the character not too long before and decided to use him for this small one-off comic strip. This was a game changer because it opened up a new path for me. Comics had been on my radar for a while, but I never actually got around to it until this. I enjoy this form of art so much and I plan on creating more one-off stories for Adventures of Alan!

BAd Day at the circus

This was my second mini comic, this time it’s a two pager! I adored adding the colors to this piece and creating this skeleton ringmaster character to fit the circus theme. The panel-less panels on page one was experimental but incredibly fun and eye-opening to the possibilities of sequential storytelling! I have a feeling this won’t be the last I’ll see of this character.

Chef on Shrooms

This little Italian chef, Gino Giovanni, is on the hunt for the perfect mushrooms to get his restaurant to five stars! However, he comes to find he’s found the wrong mushrooms he was searching for…

The Closing Act

This comic was a more personal one for me and it acted as an emotional outlet, in a way. I was dealing with a lot while I was making this and putting it all down in my art helped me sort through some of my own feelings. Standing up for yourself is always difficult but I find myself getting better and better at it as time goes on.

Criptid Zine

The theme for 2023’s zine was Cryptids! My suggestion was chosen, and I was so excited to illustrated this piece. If you’re not familiar, cryptids are creatures from legends or folk tales that may or may not exist. I was so pumped for this prompt that I had a very hard time choosing just one to illustrate but I settled on the Fiji Mermaid, a creature that has since been outed as a hoax of a monkey and fish mix.

Webcore Zine

Before 2024’s zine, I had no idea what Webcore even was. But after a little research, I got the gist that it was heavily inspired by old computer aesthetics. So, I used the old setup for Windows as a major influence for this piece and designed a character whose fashion is reminiscent of Y2K.
